For quite a while, I've been unable to load the 'manage subscriptions' page here on LJ and edit what I am and am not tracking. Then, I stopped being able to track anything at all. I put in a support request, and found out that hey, if you keep adding subscriptions without deleting old ones, the page will stop loading - which first stops you from editing it, and then from adding more new ones. After a few days waiting on those insane helpful people who give their time to help with this stuff, I got someone to wipe all my subscriptions so I can start over. Yey! My eljay be working again!

But that also means that hey, all my subscriptions are gone. So if I'm being unresponsive to anything on recent (or not so recent) posts, it's because I'm having to completely rebuild my comment tracking system (and hopefully I'll start clearing it out often enough that this doesn't happen again).

Is anyone else having trouble getting the 'track this' function to work?

So LJ is no longer working correctly for me. I can't track any comments, only entire posts (see unanswered support request

So LJ is no longer working correctly for me. I can't track any comments, only entire posts (see unanswered support request <a href="http://www.livejournal.com/support/see_request.bml?id=909588&"here</a>). This SUCKS HUGELY. I tried downloading Firefox and using that instead of Safari, but two problems arose:

1. I hate Firefox. Blasphemy, I know, but I'm really attached to Safari's layout. Apparently you can change Firefox's appearance to look like Safari, but the download pages were ridiculously confusing, and the download links just led me in circles. So I hate Firefox mod authors even more than I hate Firefox itself.

2. When I tried visiting LJ and tracking a comment, it had the exact same problem as Safari.

Netscape does the same thing, which means it's an LJ thing or a my computer thing. Has anyone else been having this problem? And WTF can I do to fix it?

Seventeen icons! Sixteen are Phantom of the Opera, though one's from the 1925 film, and one's from a old newspaper cartoon about one of my favorite Romantic composers, Hector Berlioz. *insert lame pun about his Fantastic Symphony being fantastic*

As always, feel free to use them.

In other news, it took me half an hour to go down the the dining hall and get a banana split. They're having study break snacks, and the crowds are horrid. I did, however, go "noooo, Candy Mountaaain, Charlieeee, Candy Mooountaaain!" at a girl when she turned around to look at me, which made up for it all. Hey, she turns to look at the creepy girl muttering to herself under her scarf, she should expect something unsettling.

And I think I will buy myself a paid account in January because I am utterly fed up with only having three icons and it's not like I have no money.
