I made that this weekend, and you can bet I'm pleased. I still have a big icon post coming up, but I still don't know when and since Platy's using this one already I thought I'd share the love with my flist in advance. Comments and credits are nice, as usual, and if anyone asks if they can snag it the answer is yes if they credit. Spreeeeeaaad theeee loooooove.

Woot! My first-ever batch of full-motion icons (though there are a good number of stills and frame animations in there), and it's just...so...spiffy.

So we have one of the third Doctor, three of the fourth, one of the ninth, twelve of the tenth, one of a Dalek, and one of David Tennant. If you're on my flist (as opposed to coming here via dwicons), you'll have seen some of these before. The good news is that I modified the one that was too big last time I posted it, so every one of these should be within the file size limits. Please to be telling me if they're not.

So I did some Doctor Who icons, as Platy knows. But no, Platy, I didn't get the two you requested done, one because I need you to give me that quote again and the other because I got halfway done and the program crashed and I was too lazy to start again. So I'll do those later.

So we have eleven icons, eight of which are moving...and one abomination of a picture that I created while on Nyquil. It's not even an icon, just...well, you'll see.

ETA: I noticed after I finished these and put them up that I'd missed at least one oral fixation moment with Ten when I put #4 together. I'd completely forgotten about the bit in Fear Her when he sticks his finger in the jam. I'll probably redo that one in a day or two, so if in the meantime you could point out any other such moments that should be included, I'd be grateful.

ETA again: I am sorely tempted to write a fic in which the Doctor licks something and Martha chastises him for exposing himself to so many germs. Feel like I ought to follow up on a WIP, though. Ah well.

I drew the Doctor! It's Ten, and he seems to have found Four's scarf. First time I've ever drawn any of him, so...spiffeh.

What I find funny is that it was a few select members of my flist who nagged me into watching the second season of Lost when it started, and then into buying the first season so I could catch up, and all that, and now so far as I know I'm the only one of us really sticking with it. Come on, guys, you dragged me into an addiction that's cost me $80 in DVDs alone, and then you run off? Not nice.

Anyway, I'd do a recap, but no one reads them. So, I will just do one scene that amused me.

Sayid: Eko's dead.
Locke: Mmyep. We need you guys to blah blah blahdi blah....
Desmond: My Lassie senses are tingling!
Charlie: Bzuh?
Desmond: *dashes off through the jungle, stripping as he goes, and jumps into the ocean*

Yeah...so if you didn't watch it, you missed crazy Scottish stripping action. You should all be ashamed. And yes, I AM making Lassie icons for Desmond, just as soon as I finish choosing pictures. I'll edit them into the post when they're done.

I made my second moving icon. I'd be using it right now, but the LJ uploady is broken and won't take large gif images. It says it's a "temporary issue" but I'm still peeved.



Anyway...no, I don't suppose that makes any sense to you. It came from my comment that the Tamino (dude in white) in this production is reeeeally amused by Papageno's feathers, and he goes to touch him and Papageno flips out...more so than usual. So we have the "Don't TOUCH me!" and the Frotu pointed out that those three words are usually followed by "I am Red Death stalking abroad!", except if Papageno was going to be any sort of disease, he'd be the bird flu, not ebola.

...I think it's funny.

I think I shall watch Dear Frankie once more, with the commentary turned on, then force myself to put it right back in the envelope and return it--best take full advantage of having Netflix by getting as many movies as I can. It's awfully expensive to buy a copy of Dear Frankie, but such is life.

Anyhooo, picspamming time. I have icons, a sort of ramble/rant about the short film Please! with pictures to illustrate, and some pictures of things in the amusement parks, including something that rather surprised me and that I'm sure my fellow Lost fans will appreciate.

Next we have the film Please! which I saw earlier tonight after Dear Frankie. It's only fifteen minutes long, and you can go see it on AtomFilms if you have Real Player or Windows Media Player. Apparently it was quite popular at various festivals, though I don't really see why. I've put all the images under links because there were so many, and be warned, HERE BE SPOILERS!

Well, I said I would, so here I am. Trouble is, I never did really think of anythign straight-up LotR to do today, hence the extremely late posting. In thirty-four minutes (less by the time I have actually typed this up and posted it) today will be over, so if I didn't do this now I would have failed right at the get-go. So, after much deliberation and panic, I decided to do some semi-LotR icons I'd had in my head for a while and then ramble at you a bit to make up for it. Let's do the rambling first, shall we?

In other news, it took me half an hour to go down the the dining hall and get a banana split. They're having study break snacks, and the crowds are horrid. I did, however, go "noooo, Candy Mountaaain, Charlieeee, Candy Mooountaaain!" at a girl when she turned around to look at me, which made up for it all. Hey, she turns to look at the creepy girl muttering to herself under her scarf, she should expect something unsettling.

And I think I will buy myself a paid account in January because I am utterly fed up with only having three icons and it's not like I have no money.

Another note on Jaws: Mystic tells me that in real life, the tank would not have exploded. Instead, it would have shot a tunnel through Bruce's guts.

Hmm...not quite as spectacular of a visual.

In other news, I am trying to write! And I mean real writing, not getting drunk and smacking my hands against the keyboard until I have a "chapter" for OOC Jack. By the way, if you didn't check that out, it's here, and yes, I really was intoxicated when I did that. I'd had a beer and half a bottle of some really fine wine. And yes, I did appreciate it instead of chugging it. Took me a while because of that. What's really disturbing is the fact that, even while I was drunk off my feet, I still stuck in a Monty Python reference.

Anyway...there might be something soon. I have a huge project in the works that won't be ready for a long time yet, but I'm trying to scribble down a few one-shots during my breaks at work. Beats staring at the wall.

Buuut...school. Ugh. I still have half of Sister Carrie left to read, and we were supposed to have it done yesterday and there's a test on Tuesday.
