One year in elementary school, I don't remember which, I had a teacher who always had us recite a poem before we left the classroom. We had poems for every occasion - our weekly trip to the library (it started 'I am a library / Behind my doors...'), the end of the day ('Homework, oh homework, you give me a rash...'), and I'm sure for gym and art class and everything else. The only one I remember in its entirety, though, was the lunch poem.

'You're eating like a pig again,'
my mother scolded me.
'If you keep eating like a pig,
a pig is what you'll be!'

I simply cannot fathom
what the fuss is all about.
But haven't I a lovely tail,
and see my splendid snout?

Proof positive that my head is full of Useless Nonsense. :D
